Privacy Policy

Whizbang LLC · New Orleans, Louisiana

Whizbang LLC (“Whizbang,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates whizbang.studio (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you visit the Site, contact us, follow a download link, or use our invitation landing page.

This policy applies to the Site, not to information processed inside our applications, customer workspaces, or third-party services. Those services may have separate privacy notices and agreements.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, the contents of your message, and attachments. Please do not send passwords, invitation codes, confidential client records, or other sensitive information through general contact email.

Technical information. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes information needed to deliver and protect the Site. This may include IP addresses, browser and operating-system information, requested URLs, request times, and security or error information. Information available to us depends on the hosting services and settings in use.

Invitation codes. The invitation landing page reads a code from the URL fragment—the portion after the # symbol. That fragment is not included in the page request sent to our website. The page does not store the code or send it to analytics. When you choose “Open Amicus,” the code is passed to the installed application. Sending an invitation and accepting it involve separate account services.

2. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Our Site code does not set tracking cookies, use browser storage, load advertising pixels, or run analytics scripts. Fonts and artwork are served with the Site. Hosting providers may process technical information or use necessary security mechanisms to deliver and protect their services. We do not use this Site for targeted advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the Site, deliver requested pages and downloads, respond to inquiries, investigate technical issues or misuse, maintain relevant business correspondence, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use invitation codes for marketing.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure website and responding to inquiries, taking steps at your request, complying with legal obligations, or your consent when required. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. When information is shared

Information may be processed by providers that host, secure, or support the Site and our email communications. Cloudflare’s role and practices are described in its privacy policy. Download links direct you to GitHub, which receives your request under GitHub’s privacy statement.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or carry out a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable legal protections. We do not sell information you send to our contact address or disclose it to advertisers for targeted advertising.

5. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including responding to requests, maintaining relevant correspondence, resolving disputes, and meeting legal requirements. The appropriate period depends on the information, its purpose, and applicable obligations. Technical information held by service providers is also subject to their applicable retention practices. This Site does not maintain a separate database of visitor accounts or invitation codes.

6. Security and international processing

We use HTTPS and technical safeguards intended to protect the Site. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Any protections required by applicable law continue to apply.

7. Your rights and choices

You can browse the Site without creating an account. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have a right to withdraw consent or complain to a privacy regulator.

Send requests to admin@whizbang.tech. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority and locate relevant records. Rights may be subject to legal exceptions. We will respond as required by applicable law. Our Site does not use targeted advertising or sell visitor information through advertising technology, so there is no advertising opt-out setting to enable here.

8. Children

The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it as appropriate.

9. Third-party links

The Site links to services we do not control, including GitHub and social platforms. Their own terms and privacy notices govern your use of those services. Linking to them does not mean this policy covers their practices.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Site or our practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
